In 1904, former tennis and wrestling champ, Frank P. Mitchell partners with Scottish golfer Charles M. Ness to form a sporting goods store on Arch Street in Philadelphia, PA. Mitchell and Ness Sporting Goods specialized in handcrafted tennis racquets, golf clubs, and other equipment. Today Mitchell and Ness have license agreements with Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL) as makers of vintage snapback hats - which are also well suited as cool street style lids!
